I am sure they do put blocks under, but just because some of you are too dense to see what I am talking about doesn't mean I am not right. Open your eyes a bit.

The blocks you speak of work fine because they were designed that way. Likely larger bolts, bigger surface area and damn sure were not made of square tubing because anyone that knows anything about engineering knows you basically put a spring spacer in there........ Using a solid plate is arguable to me, because I don't see any weakness or increased leverage involved.

And on the army truck I bet it wasn't some dufus in the back of the shop that thru that together, and look, no tubing involved. I wonder why?

But why bother, the wheel doesn't need to be invented. They already make a taller 5th wheel plate, just go buy one!!!
