Tuscola, IL | I don't really recommend this method but have seen it done. Crack injector lines open one at a time while engine is running. If the tone of the engine changes, move onto the next one. If the tone doesn't change, you've found your bad injector or at least the cylinder that is missing. But keep in mind there is high pressure fuel coming out of the injector line. This is why I hate doing this method, never liked the idea of the fuel at that pressure being anywhere near me. I would do it at injection pump instead of at the head so as not to disturb the crush tube going to the injector. But, if you've got a bad injector I would replace all of them along with the tubes. | |
