I have a 2008 f-250 4wd crew cab with the 5.4. It gets 12.5 all around driving. I can get 15 to 15.5 on highway if you keep it around 55. When I pull my 35 ft fifth wheel camper it gets around 8 mpg.
I had a 1996 f250 with the 7.3 with a 5 speed. I could get 17 around town and 21 on the highway running 65 to 70. The 7.3s could get milage.
