I'll back up the others. I also duplicated a Win7 drive onto an Intel 240gb SSD. I used Seagate's utility because that's what I had on the computer I used to do this. I then ran Intel's SSD Toolbox utility and it reports it is set up correctly. There may have been a benefit to starting fresh, but I had my system working so nice I didn't want to start over. This is a work unit, so I'm not doing a lot of software trials. It's a stable setup that I didn't want to have to re-establish. One benefit of the method I used is I have a backup drive now with all my software and settings ready to go if the SSD fails. |
