Subject: Aaladin Hot Water Pressure washer

SW Montana
Was thinking about getting a Hotsy pressure washer and a dealer here has a used (about 12 year old but not used last 6 years) Aaladin washer that is run off natural gas. They went through it all, rebuilt pump and ready to go. We have natural gas in our shop and it sounds like the way to go with not having to mess with fuel, anyone have any experience with the natural gas or aaladin washers? They want $2300 for it with new 125' of hose, 4 gpm and 1600 psi, will this setup work well?

I can't speak to the natural gas portion but I had bad luck with an Aaladin pressure washer. Mine was electric with a diesel burner. The burner was part of the problem but I had trouble with the electric motor which shredded out its bearings in only a couple hundred hours and I had to rebuild the pump. The guy that did the pump told me that the pump didn't like to have to suck up water and Aaladin had set it up so it suck water from a supply tank rather than just taking pressure straight from a hose. Later I had trouble with the electric control panel.

I had an aladan pressure washer on propane that I wish I still owned.  It worked excellently for the 8 or so years I owned it, and as far as I know, it still works well, it is not too far away from me, but I haven't visited it for several years.  Excellent equipment, only problem I had was with the electrical safety device.

Had Aladdin (4gal/2400psi)for 12-15 years before the pump started getting weak. We just traded it for another Aladdin (5gal/3000psi). Very good washers IMO. Both of ours was electric with diesel burner

Bought a used aaladin that has been good to me. What pressure do we have to start being real careful with around newer stuff? Maybe ready to update. Five and three thousand might be a good fit.
