Ironically I was writing all of this assuming you just do a little work and avoid the estate tax all together. and put a lot of point into pointing out that not only are you inheriting an asset worth substantial amounts. But that asset has about 75% of its equity as unrealized gains that will never be taxed due to our laws. So you come out that much farther ahead.
Thoughts on all the talk/complaining about taxes/estate tax on here.
