I have an Outback A221 400 MHz system on top of my grain bins with the transmission antenna up an 90' plus elevator leg. I am in the flat Gulf Coast region of Texas. With the A220 I can get good consistent signal upto 16-18 miles. With the Max and Max rover about 11-12 miles. Call me if I can help 9797584909 with any questions.

What does a guy have to do to use a 400mhz system? I would prefer this with our ground being a rolling and having some trees. I know I will need a repeater in places if i go with 900mhz. But assume I would be good with a 400mhz setup?
