SE MN Still in Pothole Country
Glacial Till here in our part of SE MN. Glencoe, Webster, Lesuer, Nicollet, Lester, Hayden, Canisteo, Dundas, and a few odds and ends. Webster, Glencoe, Nicollet, the flatter Lester types, and Lesuer the best assuming drainage up to snuff. Soil map looks like a malaria germ. Have some with black dirt 4 feet deep and some that is flat with 10 inches of black dirt and then white clay. For those of you who do not have the pleasure of farming Dundas soil it is rather like farming a hockey puck. It does hold as much water as anything. Challenge is getting it in and out.
