NC IA | My 2188 has 8600 engine and nearly 6000 sep hours. Its easier to tell you what is original on it: Frame, cab, final drives, rotor & feeder gearboxes, rotor, and radiator & engine. I think one idler pulley on the right side is originial. EVERYTHING else has been replaced once, twice or three times.
It doesn't matter if its got 1000 hrs or 10,000 hrs, pull shields, doors, and covers off it, crawl inside and out, go over it with a fine tooth comb. If you don't feel confident doing that yourself, hire a good red combine mechanic to look it over, should be able to do a thourough inspection in two hours and catch 95% of what it will need in the next one-two seasons. Then buy accordingly. | |
