Its a nice little town in a pretty part of the state. I'm about an hour west of there. I suppose its around 10,000 population, and not quite close enough to Waterloo/Cedar Falls to be considered a suburb but certainly close enough for easy access to whatever amenities the 'bigger' cities provide. There is a small private college there, Wartburg, which I think is nominally Lutheran. Ethnically I would say it leans to German heritage if anything.
