Doesn't the top growth mostly burn off in the winter anyway up there? May as well run it through an animal.
Yes, the top growth usually burns off in the winter. Grazing could be a sensible option, but I have never known it to be done here. That may be due to the fact that most of our wheat is spring wheat (although winter wheat is becoming more common here). |
