We bought a 97 8300 last fall and it has the 8.1 in it and i like that better then the 8000 with the 7.6 just my opinion. Ours dynoed 232 when we bought it last fall with 4900 hours on it . We love the tractor so much nicer to run then the older deeres u can see so much more and they ride so much nicer i can't say enough about it. I pull a Case IH 4300 28.5 with a 30 foot crumbler behind it and i can pull it all day at 6.2 mph and if i want i can get up around 7mph but in some of our stones 6 mph is fast enough. We also pull a 11 shank stretch frame glencoe soil saver with it and it can pull it very comfortable, but our soil is a lot lighter then most on here. Like the others have said buy it and don't look back they are a heck of a tractor.
