X2. And when in doubt, go bigger. First time you have to dead head a pump while out in the field to fix something, you be glad you went with better pipe instead of wondering how much pressure your pump is making and if it will blow something apart.

We use 4' risers, which gives us about 3.5' to the top of the pipe. Never had any damage from things driving over it, and lot of times we'll go across a county road with truck traffic. Never put it inside another pipe or bed it plastic always holds up fine.
