east central ND | A number of years ago the companies were short on seed for my area, got most of what we ordered, but all the brands must have opened up the cleaning and sizing machines a bit. We had an old plate planter at the time, and always ordered medium flats as they fed through and singulated fairly well...... The bags of seed had flats, rounds, all sorts of sizes. No help from dealers, they said that's all they had available. Fed through the planter terrible. Got a vacume planter the next year, and have yet to see that kind of mess in a seed bag since. | |
