The ViperPro is easier to setup. The Pro700 requires alot of back and forth between menus to setup the monitor for operation and do calibrations. Setting up a field to be sprayed is a bit more complex with the Pro700. The Viper allows you to store all of the same field and product data but does not require filling it out to spray and map. The Viper is a simple "start new job" type system with a "close job" when done. The Pro700 requires setting disciptions of the operation and setting a new "operation instance" or else it will not let you spray the field a second time. Either monitor will function alright.
The Pro700 can have camera inputs, however requires CaseIH (Trimble) based autosteer. To use Accuguide you need a Trimble made reciever.
The ViperPro will use a Raven Smartrax3D autosteer and can have an external (weatherproof) lightbar connected to it. The mapping area of the screen is a much larger area of the display. There are several mapping view options including those with the guidence line on the screen. Older ViperPros will control up to 5 products. Current versions will control up to 10 products. CaseIH versions will require unlock to turn on variable rate control. Raven versions come with 1 product variable rate standard but can be unlocked for all products variable rate. The Viper will use any GPS source that you want that outputs NMEA data. You can add a Slingshot modem for data transfer, internet access, and/or RTK data. The Viper is a Windows XP computer. You can also use it for liquid, dry, or NH3 application. Current software also comes with airseeder software. The Viper can be used to update firmware on any Raven component that comes with the sprayer just with a USB drive.
