Not trying to be a smartazz here but I'd rather eat a deer than a coyote and Ive yet to see coyotes eating deers other than when the deer was wounded during hunting season and not found. Its easier to find deer hunters that can benifit from the venison then it is to find coyote hunters that receive nothing (no bounty here anymore) but the pleasure of killing a pest. Also, I've never seen a deer kill a dog, especially in the dogs own yard! Remember, I'm not trying to make a smart reply. I dont know where your from ? For myself I have more than 1 time killed them out my front and back doors. I had a small pack chase my 2 dogs to the back of the flatbeds sitting in the driveway. Got 2 of them before they got away ar-15 colt, just killed another last week that was hunting in the pasture next to the house, I noticed a heeler tied up was barking and grabbed my 22-250 off the front deck. Take no offence to this but yes it happens in areas wild animals will attack your pets and livestock . We also have some big cats and they damn sure will kill a deer. |
