Belmont WI
I misswrote about putting the N on in front of closing wheels. It drops the N behind closing wheels in front of drag chain. I notill everything and my closing wheels are Martin spader wheels. The drag chain does get some build up on it I didn't think it affected its use.
As someone else wrote YES the planter needs to be washed often and when something leaks, which it usually happens, it needs rinsed right away.

Sulfer. I was and still use AMS as a source of S on some acres. Last year I tried 1000 lbs/ac of Gypsum instead of AMS. Gypsum here is $50/ton AMS is 425ish/ton. With the N credit in AMS it is close to the same $ at 150 lbs/ams /ac. The advantage is you don't have to handle as many gals of 28 when using AMS. I would use all 32 if it didn't freeze. 32 is like 12% more N than 28% which equals less gals/ac
