If you are keeping the drill look into the SI Belt meters. They are well worth the money. As for rebuilding the drill you may consider going to 15" rows if you only plant beans. It costs a lot less (about half)and you will do a much better job controlling depth as the drill empties, only 12 sets of springs instead of 22 lifting the drill.
