Subject: ?? rebuilding great plains no til drill

Wisconsin
WE have a 93'ish 15 ' greatplains notill drill. It has roughly 5800 ac on it. Not sure if it was rebuilt or not before we had it but thats beside the point. the last couple years had a lot of trouble with the seed rate being all over the place. Like almost as if the lever that adjust the rate moves. Is this possible? is it common for something in that area ( seed meter, drive shaft, rate adjustment) to wear out also. Have checked and replace drive chains and spring on tighter for the drive chain.
The rest of the drill is gonna get rebuilt this winter with new disk openers, no till coulter blades and bearings. Is ther anything else i should replace??? The seed rate thing really has me stumped.

Thanks
