NW Washington | The chopper is right behind the rotor and has nothing to do with the "chaff" coming off of the shoe. And a rotary combine usually has a lot of stuff coming over the shoe. You can make some changes to get more chaff into the straw spreaders, but dedicated chaff spreader would be better, especially if you want to no-till behind the combine.
