Sumner GA, Located in southwest GA,
Was on the early trials but not the late ones. Tifton last year on the Nov 16 test made 75 bu, Plains early test made 69, with fungicide 87, Midville on Nov 18 did 50, same test Coker 9553 did 65, late test Dec 14 did 53, 2026 in Griffin Oct 31 did 108, Coker had no test, and Calhoun Oct 27 2026 did 86, Coker again had no test. Statewide southern tests put both in a dead heat at 65.
I am not afraid to go till Dec 10 most years, last year never was very cold and I do not believe the later wheat had a chance to vernalize well last year, my theroy, everyones yeilds were off last year.
