My honest thoughts, because I'm going thru a bad situation with a landlord right now. You don't own it, you are not owed any extra consideration from this land owner. Whatever you invested into this parcel, at your own risk, is considered a favor or a personal risk that doesn't need to be considered in any future sale or rent of said land.
