I hope you don't mind if I bring up a couple of more things. The spread between ethanol and RBOB is much narrower now then it was a year ago so it is not encouraging the use of E-15 or any add blending. Also last week the ethanol industry produced at the rate of 803 million barrels a day and the ethanol stocks also dropped 3% last week. If we would average 803 M barrels a day for the whole year I think that would put us at about 4.4 billion bu. of corn used for the year. I have also heard that the Brazilian sugar cane industry has a much better crop this year and they will be producing more ethanol so that will likely effect both imports and exports of ethanol. |
