Subject: RE: after the advice on wheat for bread, first attemp.

East central Iowa

I make a lot of bread with a bread maker.  But I only make white bread and it took a lot experimentation to get nice big loaves.  I've tried making whole wheat bread using store bought wheat flour but I end up with small loaves and not the fluffy filled with holes that people like bread.

I ended up making wheat bread by using 3 cups of white flour and 1 cup of whole wheat.  I use 2 heaping tablespoons of sugar.

Living in Iowa I don't know anybody that has a field of wheat so the likelihood of getting farm fresh ground wheat is pretty slim.

Could you share your recipe?  Your wheat loaf looks like my white bread loaves.

Thank you,

Kurt
