Sorry for not answering this sooner. I missed it. You most likely have a 4.5v system. Check with your local dealer about what it would take to go to 2.5v. I think the best is to replace the wiring and the controller. Only do this if you think you're going to keep the planter for a long time and not trade it. - Daver
