I normally buy pieces and upgrade so I end up with monitors, motherboards, video cards etc. A couple years ago, I did a purge of that kind of stuff. Now that we have free drop off places for electronics here in Ontario, it's a lot easier to do. But, I still have boxes of wires. Seeing the prices to buy them means I have hundreds of dollars worth of power cords etc. that I keep, just in case. I also have every hard drive I've ever used. I can't believe anyone would want to read the data on my drives, but I just can't bear to let them into the wild. Maybe the older drives that required bios setting changes to be used might be safe to get rid of now? |
