I bought a Bextra a couple years ago. Yes it did save hay. Next to impossible to put a heavy 6 ft dia bale in it without bending it. Finally took it to the scrap yard just to get rid of it. One of the most irritating products I've ever bought. The simple, light weight, 2 pc Applegate standard rings along with the Common Sense cradles are my standard feeders from now on. Jim
