I agree with loran. A poor job in the fall is better then a good job in the spring (assuming you are not plugging up the strip till rig). imo the freeze/thaw leaves a beautiful mellow seedbed. I personally think a fall strip makes a better seed bed to plant into. Also in the spring you need to worry about timeliness. imo if it is dry enough to make strips it is dry enough to be planting and I would rather be planting then making strips in the spring. I am 100% CoC and the only advantage to spring strips for me is if one has a difficult time getting the trash to flow through in the fall.
