North Mo.
No cows go to tire waters, ponds, creeks what ever. Might change this year as no creeks little in ponds and none in tire waters. You guys in In and Ohio seem to have better luck flying on stuff. One thing I noticed this year and because of it from now on I will sow oats with the rye in the fall. This year oats grew taller put on more pounds of forage and you still have the rye for spring. I had never had a side by side to compare before. We had a 25 acre field in oats, turnips and field peas that took est. 120000 pound of beef 25 days. This was planted right before Issac if I remember that was Sept 1st or close. Would have been more tonnage if planted earlier just wasn't ANY moisture to get stuff up. Ben
