I agree with your opinion on diesels. I also pencilled them out and they have the highest total cost of ownership, but their advantage is their sheer amount of torque. What I hate about diesels is where they've gone; 10 years ago they were the most economical truck to run over the life of the vehicle; but they've lost that crown lately.

As for the life of the ecoboost; I see your point and its hard to know where they'll go. Remember people said the same when they replaced the 460 with the V10, and people said they'll wait and see. It's a cropshoot; that's for sure!
