Subject: Re: Front-end Weights on 2wd Tractor

nw MN
Have a 1566 IH that used to be used for tillage, now it is my planter tractor. Last year I got a 12 row 7000 planter with oversized dry fertilizer boxes. (6 boxes hold 700# each) With the heavy drawbar it got a little squirrely, didn't want to turn, wanted to wheelie when I let out the clutch. I put on a rockbox and put about 400# of iron wheel weights in it, thats all it took. It doesn't take much hanging out over the front like that to make a big difference.
