...when applying nitrogen to growing soybeans..it becomes a matter of "when do you apply it and not effect the natural nodulation of the soybean plant". Apply it too early, and the soybean doesn't need to develop as many nodules. Apply it too late, and the timing will be too late to have any effect. I'd love to see a study of how maybe 50 units of Nh3 applied with a stiff shot of N-Serve would work on rowed beans after they have been shortened (stressed with a Cobra application). Might be something to think about.
