I cannot speak about the Fresnel zone as I'm not educated on it but I do know from experience with other systems that anytime you start piggybacking your reliability will most likely decrease, as will your throughput. I've not worked with the Quiquiti products enough to say for certain, but generally, when you create a system with multiple hops you loose half your throughput with each hop as the device has to split its throughput for to handle two way communication as opposed to one way.
