Iowa
I am looking at doing this as well. But I am looking at piggy-backing multiple routers to create wi-fi points across a 9 mi (EW) and 4 mi (NS) area.

If I could keep the repeaters up high enough to not worry about any interference, would the signal strength be the same from the origination point as it would be 6 miles away going across 2 repeaters?

I have multiple grain legs, water towers, and high bins that I could use, so I do not think the Fresnel zone would be an issue.

Or would I lose too much reliability in the signal with a setup like this?
