Subject: Switching a hardi commander 1200 to auto shutoffs

central ohio
I am looking at a Hardi commander 1200 sprayer for my farm. Right now it has the 2500 controller for it. I spoke with the local hardi dealer and this is what he suggested

1. Switch out 2500 for 5500 unit at a $1000 trade
2. Add a hardi job box for $1500
3. Buy a fm 750 display for $3000
4. Buy the variable rate unlock for $750

Is there a better way to switch this sprayer over? It has five section shut offs. A friend switched ball valves to tee jets and rewired instead of using old hardi stuff. Is that a better idea?

Thanks for any thoughts

Jeff
