FWIW Working ground in Gman's area 9 inches deep would be a recipe for disaster, in a typical spring you'd be bringing up ribbons of mud, and never be able to seal it. We typically work with 4-6 inches of topsoil, with heavy wet clay underneather, admittedly there are pockets of better ground though.. |
