We apply all our spring applied AA at an angle tpo prevent burn from a row running on top of an AA knife track. On our fall applied AA we will run straight. Using a 30" bar won't hurt you a bit as long as you run at an angle. I used a 30" bar for years with 36" rows. Al;so used a 30" bar & planted 20" corn.
