An 8 bale accumulator and grapple is a pretty decent setup, and not crazy high priced. I built one based on the Netherexe/tubeline design and kind of incorporated what I liked best out of both. I could rake, bale, and haul about 1000 bales by myself using two 20 foot trailers and occasionally a 32 foot that I would borrow. With the trailers I have now, 1000 bales would be a pretty easy afternoon.
