This site is entirely funded by generous readers here who see the value of things. It does not accept commercial advertising nor is it under the influence of any of the "magazines".

I would submit that perhaps the magazines come here to see what real producers are talking about and then write articles based on what is being discussed here.

I stopped subscribing to magazines years ago. Seems when I read an article in one of them it was something I had already read about here previously sometimes quite a bit earlier.

Nothing against the magazines they can only report about trends they observe happening. The real benefit is this user feedback is mostly in an unbiased format based on individual experiences since their is no advertising and implied pressures from those paying for ads.

The site has been fortunate enough to always have generous  folks donate when they are asked to do so. The reason you seldom see the link for more than a few days is that the funding is quickly raised to cover the needs. The owners get nothing for running and dealing with all of this so it's not like they get paid any salary for making this all possible.
