| So far I agree with the replies that you have gotten. I would certainly try the cattle business before the broilers. Especially if you have hay equipment and pasture. I was in the business of laying hens until the early eighties but I owned my own flock. After the laying hens I bought feeder calves and fed them out. That was a good enterprise for me. I had plenty of grain but not a lot of hay and pasture. If you are in Southertn Indiana there has got to be people who feed out cattle close to you. That you could directly sell to the cattle feeder. I bought my feeder calves locally. Jim J | |
