I dont understand how a person stakes their whole operation on rented ground. Around here most guys only rent a piece for 1 year then the next guy comes in and so on. He should own some land if he has been farming for over 24 years.
Seems kinda odd... "most guys only rent a piece for one year and move on" Something must not be right.
