Subject: The future of hay grinding

West Central Iowa
It seems as though running a custom hay grinding business is fairly expensive......less and less people seem to be doing it and charges seem to be getting higher. Tractor powered versions are an option but can be fairly hard on the tractor and take LOTS of fuel. With newer feed wagons that can process/mix whole bales do you forsee less and less hay being ground for the convenience of newer/better feedwagons? I suspect hay grinding will not disappear.....but do you see that demand increasing, decreasing, or staying the same?
