I feel I see a big benefit from top dressing here (flood irrigated). I'm 4 for 4 top dressing and burning the leaves pretty bad (timing+weather kicking my @#$), but the benefit is far outweighing the damage on this operation so far. Perhaps someday I'll have a dedicated side-dress (dry in the ground), but its working to spread it so far. .02$
