Northern Kentucky | Had a buddy call me last night that said his dad is looking for someone to lease a little piece of land next to his house. It's been is a corn/bean rotation for the last 2 years and it was pasture before that. He doesn't want row crops in it anymore since the drift from the sprayer is messing up his plants around his house. Anyway he said he has one offer for $50/acre for a 5 year deal and said he thought he could get a bit more. Crop ground is going for $100-120/acre right now. It seems high to me but maybe someone could give some input since I have never paid for hay ground. It would be put in alfalfa. | |
