| I just don't get the opposition to custom work in this thread. As long as the compensation is adequate to cover fuel, repairs, depreciation, labor and still leave some $ for profit, what is wrong with the OP generating some dollars with his equipment on acres that he doesn't have to lay out all of the input costs and risk for? As long as it is mutually beneficial to both parties, in a way it's a form of diversification and risk management for the OP. Besides, if you do a good job and people notice, you never know who will be ringing your phone asking for more work. |
