NE Iowa | We used the JD plates for about 5 years, then switched to e-sets.
With JD plates, get the round to get the best uniform stand.
With the e-sets, the shape is not important, but the size is important. We always order seed size 1600 or smaller. (50# bags) They will not preform the way you want them to when you have a 60# sack or larger. Everyone will tell you "just slow down" and they work perfect. That may be the case, but if you ordered a smaller seed, it will work better, even at a normal speed. | |
