NW IA | The Extention folks here told me that they quit the research on this long ago but the difference was in the 3-7% range with the advantage to 30s. But, as always, your area may be different than what was found in NW IA. I am also looking at converting to 30 inch rows for next year. At 5% gain on 200 bu. potential corn it doesnt look like it would take many acres to justify an update. I have found there is a better selection of 12 and 16 row planters than 8-30s! | |
