Subject: Land cost and carring capacity

S.E. Iowa
So many variables in land cost and carring capacity across the country. Im trying to figure out whether there is such a thing as cheap pasture. We have a 150 acre farm probably valued at $3500=4000 /acre that could carry with proper management and rotation 1-1.5 cow calf units or the equal amount of young calves during a normal weather year. How would using this for livestock compare to other areas of the country. I guess if you using 40acres of $200/acre ground per cow/calf unit you cost is really twice ours. how do others areas compare
