Gypsum at 500 pound rate
29.4 % cal 148 pounds

23.5 % sulfur 117.50 pounds

vs

If you don't have Gypsum close to you. This is your best choice.

High cal lime at 500 pound rate

30% cal 150 pounds
+
AMS at 500 pound rate

21% N 105 pounds Remember to value this N. Corn should be planted to use the N.

24% Sulfur 120 pounds


I would apply more lime than 1000 pounds of lime. I use a min rate of 2 ton. I wanted this example to show apples to apples.

Some of us apply 100 - 400 pounds of ams each year on every acre.
