It works inside and outside the home, or even when you are out. It reminds me a little of the OnStar system in the car. You do have to push the button if you need help - it doesn't automatically detect that you have fallen. The ones that claim to automatically detect a fall are frequently left on the table instead of being worn due to false alarms when a person dozes off, causing the pendant to rest at an angle. No one likes that! The 5star is about $15 a month, also a good value. You can buy it online http://www.greatcall.com/ or at some Walmart stores. You have to put in your phone numbers, etc., just like the other systems. | |
